Caterfood Buying Group 2023 Winter Conference
Last month, we held our third annual Winter Conference and Awards Ceremony and this year it was our largest ever event as The Caterfood Buying Group, following significant growth over the last 12 months.
For the first time, key representatives from all seven of our businesses – South Lincs Foodservice, Caterfood (SW), Cimandis Foodservice, Elite Fine Foods, Nicol Hughes Foodservice, Harvest and Thomas Ridley Foodservice - came together, having welcomed Harvest Fine Foods and Thomas Ridley Foodservice to the group earlier in the year.
A real milestone in our development, there was a lot to share and celebrate! A two-day event held at Sandy Park in Exeter, the conference featured 46 of our favourite suppliers and began with an annual review and plans for 2024, outlined by our Managing Director, Phil Ateyo. Team members from each Member business were also given presentations from Finance, Own Brand, Integration, Brand and Marketing, outlining our goals, visions and upcoming developments.
Then, the focus was on our suppliers - speed dating, learning about their unique offerings, networking and new product development. Many of the suppliers who joined us are going to be involved in producing our
Caterfood Collection own brand, so it was a fantastic opportunity for our Sales teams to learn more about the products we will have available and be promoting in 2024.
